The Art of the Press Release

While an almost-monthly magazine is perhaps not the best venue for publicity, we here at The Primgraph believe that our publication can be a useful resource for Second Life Residents. Therefore, we wish to encourage the businesses and social organizers of our audience to keep us informed of upcoming events!

We cannot guarantee to mention every bit of news we receive, but as we cannot be everywhere or see everything, it could be helpful to us - and to you - if you bring your news to our attention.

What, then, should such a press release contain?
  • A clear statement of what the event is, including its official name.
  • Information on its location, including an SLURL.
  • The date (as, Saturday 2nd August) and time (in SLT).
  • Contact information for The Primgraph to use.
  • Contact information for the public to use, if applicable.
  • A few lines of appropriately boosterish description.
  • An aethernet site at which the public may acquire additional information, if applicable.
Avoiding typographical errors of all sorts is highly recommended.

Press releases may be sent to us as Notecards to me (Alesia Markstein) or via e-mail to Primgraph.Editor@gmail.com.

The next issue is anticipated to appear towards the end of August.

We look forward to hearing from you!

- A. M.

Laird Elrik Merlin and myself were privileged enough to see Miss Emilin Nakamori's scriptless machine yesterday. You can read about it here... Miss Widdershins stopped by.

I definitely think an interview with her is a good idea. It was astounding!
